Specially bound in brown morocco, spine lettered in gilt. All edges gilt. In a protective paper wrapper. Slight rubbing to corners and to joint with upper cover but otherwise in excellent condition and internally particularly good throughout . Mervyn Levy was an artist and teacher - among his works are portraits of Dylan Thomas who had been at school with Levy, the two men later sharing a house in London. Levy is perhaps best known now as the author of numerous books on Lowry including the catalogue raisonnee of his works. He also drew a pencil portrait of Lowry.
